Feisty Felines?...Or Is It More

Touchy Backs? Find Out Possible Reasons Why

Some Cats Have Touchy Backs...Feisty Felines? Or Is It More

Some cats LOVE to have their backs rubbed, and some can't stand to be touched.
From always having cats my entire life, I have found over the years reasons behind the "touchy backs".

Another possible reason could be nerve damage that causes sensitivity to touch. Sensitivity can be caused by prior injuries to the spinal nerves, legs or tail. I have rescued several cats from horrific situations and I have had several through out the years with nerve damage due to probable causes from getting hit by cars, or even being abused. Regretably, no one knows their history.

Yet, another possible reason could be it's just their personality! Each feline has their own unique personality, ( just like us!) that just prefer to not be touched on their back. One of my cats that I have right now is like that. She loves to be petted anywhere on her body...except her back. She has a very distinct personality that sets her apart from my other cats. I have had her checked out by my local vet and she is perfectly healthy other than a slight heart murmur.

Cats in general like to be loved and petted on different parts of the body. But there are some that are very sensitive for a multiple of reasons. Reasons can be associated with...

The skin being irritated by dry flaky skin called 'cat dander' due to lack of proper nutrition such as foods with low Omega 3 Fish Oils. Cats need the omega 3 fish oil not only for their skin as a conditioner but for their fur as well. Lack of the proper nutrients can lead to multiple health issues in your cat. Have you ever known the reasons why your cat has massive hair loss at times? It's due to lack of the oils they need for a healthy coat and skin along with the proper diet.

Cat dander can also cause allergies in people that have reactions to dandruff and hair floating in the air.

I recommend holistic (organic) pet foods or all natural foods for the proper ingredients your cat needs for daily value intake. It really makes a difference in the life of your pet and less hairballs around the house!

All natural treats play a very important part in your cats life as well. Look for holistic ( organic) pet treats as rewards or for just showing them your love. In return, you will have a healthy, happy , and long lived companion for years to come.

I love my cats and I want what's best for them so we can enjoy each others company for a long, long time.

This is one of my many goals of pet health is to provide Holistic pet foods and treats to your pets. I pray I will accomplish that goal someday.
